The Rug Rats and Aunt Beryl
Hi Ben,
Here is a picture of your Great Aunt Beryl Miesener, my cousin Charles Miesener (he is the oldest boy), my cousin Allan Augustine (Charlie is holding him), and Beryl is holding Allen Biddle. This was taken on Granpa Misener's farm in Canada probably in 1940. Granpa always had a collie dog to help with the livestock.
Dad
In His Own Words
Several years ago I sat down with a tape recorder to ask grandpa (Raymond Biddle) a few questions about growing up. He filled a 90 minute cassette tape. Here is the first five minutes of that audio (embellished with a few pictures).
verbal tags: North East, Maryland, sinking of the Titanic, Cedarville, Ohio, World War I, Great Depression, 1932, tuberculosis, sanatorium, Baptist Mid-Missions, Hilo, Hawaii, gospel services, pidgin English, World War II, Navy transport, pastorate, Rutland, Beloit, Westville
Grandma's Picture
Mom was a special assignment RN in Hawaii. She was taking care of the Governor's son. Hawaii was a US protectorate when they were there in the late thirties.
I do not remember her ever saying what the son was ill with but it was a short term assignment, less than a year.
The picture was taken in front of the house where Dad and Mom lived in Hilo.
Dad preached on Sundays to the plantation workers on the windward side of the island. During the week he witnessed and taught Bible Study classes to the US sailors stationed in the islands.
Dad knew some of the sailors that were at Pearl Habor when the Japanese bombed.
Submitted by Rowena's oldest son.

Misener Resource Family Page
I recently discovered a HUGE resource site for the Misener family in North America. Connie Duke has compile an alphabetical listing of many branches of the Misener family. She does give a disclaimer though - she hasn't personally researched the information so be sure to double check dates and places, etc.
